Shagang Yongxing resumes No.4 blast furnace
Anyang Yongxing Special Steel, the Henan subsidiary of Chinese private steel group Shagang, has completed the overhaul of its No.4 blast furnace and put the unit into production.
The steelmaker's 450 cubic-metre No.4 blast furnace has a design capacity of 550,000 tonnes/year for iron, Kallanish notes.
Anyang Yongxing started the maintenance on 4 December, and it resulted in about 45,000t of reduced iron output.
