Shaangang Longgang to commission hot strip mill
Northwestern China’s Shaanxi Iron & Steel Group has successfully hot tested a 1 million tonnes/year high-end hot strip mill at its Longmen Iron & Steel (Longgang) subsidiary according to the Hancheng city government website. This took place in early January and the announcement indicates that the products will mainly supply local automotive steel demand, Kallanish notes.
