Severstal ramps up production with new pickling line

Russian steelmaker and miner Severstal is commissioning the new continuous pickling unit No.4 (NTA-4) at its Cherepovets Steel Mill, the company says. The line will produce about 2 million tonnes/year of pickled coil, Kallanish notes. Investment in this project is included in the programme for the development of wide-range rolled products worth RUB 8 billion ($103 million).
