Severstal reuses coke oven gas in production
Russian steelmaker Severstal is reconstructing coke oven battery No.7 at its flagship Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant (CherMK), the company says.
Technical re-equipment of the unit involves the installation of an additional gas collector. Gas exhaust risers, pipelines for ammonia water, steam, nitrogen, air and other equipment will also be installed.
Total investment amounts to RUB 600 million ($6.8m), Kallanish notes.
