Severstal supplies wind turbine tower parts for Europe
Severstal service centre SMC-Kolpino has begun supplying parts for the production of wind turbine towers to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, the Russian steelmaker and miner says.
Total volume will be about 8,000 tonnes, Kallanish notes. The parts will be used at the German company’s European division for the production of wind turbines with delivery to countries in northern and Central Europe.
