Severstal reduces output, sales in Q2
Russian steelmaker and miner Severstal's output of crude steel and sales declined in both the second quarter and first half of the year, Kallanish learns from a company statement.
The firm produced 2.4 million tonnes of crude steel in Q2, down by 18% on-quarter, with hot metal output at 2.43mt down 16% on-quarter. H1 hot metal output remained flat on a year at 5.3mt, while crude steel production volume fell 7% on-year to 5.33mt.
