New compressors to reduce Severstal costs
Russia’s Severstal is investing RUB 500 million ($6.7 m) into replacing the main compressors at its principal Russian Cherepovets works, the company says.
The miner and steelmaker has already dismantled the first of four compressors, and another new one will be installed in April. The other two will be installed by the end of the year. The goal is to reduce costs and supply Severstal's new production units.
