Severstal reheating furnace revamp hikes energy efficiency, volumes
Russian steelmaker and miner Severstal has begun the main stage of re-equipment of reheating furnace No.2 at hot rolling mill 2000 at its Cherepovets steelworks, the company says.
Total investment is over RUB 7 billion ($92 million), Kallanish notes. The overhaul will help improve energy efficiency and reduce production costs, as well as help grow volumes of finished product.
