Severstal ramps up production for train-building industry
Russian steelmaker and miner Severstal has entered the market of special profiles for rail transport, the company says.
The enterprise estimates the potential for sales in Russia to be 64,000 tonnes/year, which corresponds to approximately 40% of the market, Kallanish notes.
Severstal has begun the production of this product and has prepared for dispatch another pilot batch of special profiles to a train-building plant in Russia.
