Severstal pig iron output hits 35-year high
Severstal’s Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant (CherMK) improved its 2021 production results and hit a multi-year high for pig iron output, the company tells Kallanish.
Crude steel volume amounted to 10.35 million tonnes, which is 200,000t more compared to 2020. The mill also produced 11mt of pig iron, its highest since 1986.
