Severstal begins structural steel thick plate output
Severstal has begun production of structural steel plate of category PC F500W up to 70mm thick used in drilling platforms, icebreakers and ice-class vessels manufacturing.
The high-strength steel production will be carried out in two mills which are able to produce the required steel plate. These are mills 2800 and 5000 at Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant in the cities of Kolpino and Cherepovets, Kallanish learns from the steelmaker. The company…
