Severstal reduces energy consumption with Cherepovets furnace overhaul
Russia’s Severstal has completed the overhaul of heating furnace No.3 of flat steel rolling mill 2000 at its Cherepovets steel plant, the company says.
Mill 2000 is one of the most productive hot rolling units in Russia, says Severstal. It produces more than 6 million tonnes/year of rolled metal, providing 65% of the company's marketable output, the enterprise claims.
