Severstal improves efficiency, pig iron production with upgrades
Russian steelmaker and miner Severstal is increasing the production of magnesian iron flux at its Cherepovets Steelworks (CherMK), Kallanish notes.
This component can be used to replace other iron-containing components in the iron production process chain, the enterprise claims. Iron flux is produced from metal production waste - mill scale and steelmaking slag - with the addition of limestone.
