Severstal completes pipemaking hot strip mill overhaul
Russian steelmaker and miner Severstal has completed the scheduled upgrade of the mill 5000 sheet rolling shop, the company says. The sheet produced is used for pipemaking. The overhaul was carried out within ten days.
This revamp will allow the equipment to operate without any significant restrictions on power and technological parameters, and therefore increase productivity, the firm says.
