Severstal commissions new compressors to reduce costs
Russia’s Severstal has commissioned the main compressors at its principal Cherepovets works, the company says. Total investment amounted to RUB 500 million ($7.2m), Kallanish notes.
After the updates, the first four electric compressors have been commissioned. By the end of the year, in the conditions of continuous production, all units will be put into operation. The goal is to reduce costs and supply Severstal's new production units.
