Severstal recommissions CR mill after upgrade
Russian steelmaker and miner Severstal has completed the upgrade of the exit section of tandem cold mill-2100 at its Cherepovets steel plant. This will enable full utilisation of the maximum strip width of 1,850mm, Kallanish learns from the German supplier of the technology, SMS.
SMS completed the overhaul in two phases within 42 days. The run-up phase after completion of the work took only two days.
