September Italian steel output falls
Italian crude steel output contracted in September, bringing an end to consecutive growth since February, Kallanish learns from local steelmakers’ association Federacciai.
After a 7% on-year increase registered in July, crude steel output grew again in August by 7.4% on-year to 1 million tonnes, but fell -5.2% on-year in September to 1.9mt. However, in January-September it still grew 3.3% to 17.3mt, the association says.
