Sepid Dasht eyes higher DRI output, meltshop commissioning
Iran's Sepid Dasht Steel plans to produce 800,000 tonnes of direct reduced iron in the Iranian year through 20 March 2021, Kallanish learns from the company.
This comes after the firm increased production of DRI by 30% on-year in the Iranian year through 19 March 2020 to 725,000t. Output in the month through 19 March alone was 63,000t. The growth came despite a shortage in iron ore pellet and natural gas consumption restrictions in winter, the firm says.
