Sentiment remains firm in Turkish scrap import market
Turkish mill demand for both deep-sea and short-sea scrap continues, though no fresh bookings have been heard so far this week.
Neither the buy- nor sell-side is aggressive in concluding business. Most suppliers are satisfied with recent sales, except for the Europeans who were unable to take a share from recent scrap purchases due to the stronger euro that raised costs and therefore quotes.
