Semiconductor shortage seen costing automotive industry $110 billion
The continued shortage of semiconductors will cost the global automotive industry $110 billion in revenue, according to consulting firm AlixPartners.
The forecast has worsened significantly in comparison with the earlier one. At the beginning of the year the company expected losses from the shortage of chips would amount to about $60 billion.
