Semiconductor shortage, skyrocketing feedstocks slash Indian automotive production
Indian automotive output dropped 28% on-year to 2,214,745 units in October, reports the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Output includes passenger vehicles (PV), commercial vehicles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers and quadricycles.
Production, however, increased 16% on-year to 12,951,830 units during April-October 2021, Kallanish notes.
