Turkish imported scrap market sees second quiet week
Turkey’s scrap import market was quiet for a second consecutive week last week as Turkish mills further delayed their scrap purchases.
No deep-sea scrap purchases were heard in the market. Only a few short-sea bookings were concluded at $267/tonne cfr Turkey from Romania and $281/t cfr from Russia for HMS 80:20 and HMS 85:15 respectively.
