SeAH affiliate fined for alleged internal trading
The Fair Trade Commission of South Korea on Monday decided to levy a fine of KRW 3.2 billion ($2.39 million) on SeAH Changwon Integrated Special Steel Corp., an affiliate of steelmaking conglomerate SeAH Group, Kallanish notes.
The penalty is because SeAH Changwon sold stainless steel pipes to SeAH CTC at “significantly low prices.” The latter is held by a privately-run firm of the controlling family of SeAH Group.
