SDI to expand Roanoke bar mill
US steelmaker Steel Dynamics Inc (SDI) plans to increase its bar rolling capacity at its Roanoke, Virginia, mill, Kallanish reports.
SDI has ordered a pusher-type reheating furnace from industrial services company SMS Group that will lift its capacity from about 500,000 short tons to 600,000 st. No financial details of the buy were released.
