Western EU scrap prices seen flattening in August
Values for French, Belgian, and Luxembourg scrap are expected to stay steady in August, maintaining the same trend seen in July, Kallanish notes.
In August, certain mills will be running at full capacity, while others will temporarily halt production for a period of two to three weeks. Production rates at the mills that will be operational in August are expected to decrease in September as a result of increased energy prices.
