Benelux scrap export prices soften
Scrap flows into EU yards are currently at good levels, but are at risk of decreasing as collectors usually slow down business when prices are on a downward trend, sources tell Kallanish.
Scrap yards in the Benelux, which were purchasing HMS 1&2 80:20 scrap at €195-200/tonne cfr last week, have lowered their buying prices to €185-190/t cfr this week. This is the result of lower bids they are receiving from their global customers.
