Scrap leaps, Turkish market awaits US rebar deal
Turkish scrap import prices have leaped considerably this week in a spate of new deep-sea deals concluded on the back of improved market sentiment following the US’ duty reduction on Turkish steel. Various rebar export deals were also made, although market participants tell Kallanish higher finished product prices will struggle to find support despite costlier scrap.
