Increased CEE scrap availability softens Italian import prices
Italian scrap import contracts from Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries are seen stable for the most expensive grades such as new arisings E8 and shredded qualities E40. Lower grades, however, are seen decreasing by €5/tonne ($5.9) this month.
Contracts are agreed towards the 15th of each month, with negotiations between traders and mills now underway, sources tell Kallanish.
