Scrap buyer demand shifts to high-grade products
Global buyers' demand for scrap steel is shifting to high-grade scrap products, says Hoffman Iron & Steel chairman Philip Hoffman.
As the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic fades, demand for high-grade industrial scrap steel, such as P&S, has increased in the US, with a positive impact on prices, Hoffman said at the Kallanish International Steel Scrap conference last week.
