Sberbank hits Mechel with another debtor claim
Russian bank Sberbank has filed a lawsuit with a Moscow court by which it is looking to recoup a further tranche of debt from miner and steelmaker Mechel, Kallanish notes.
According to a report by the Russian legal information agency, the bank is claiming over $224 million from the coal company Yuzhny Kuzbass, a Mechel subsidiary.
This follows reports of another three claims by the bank on Yuzhny Kuzbass totalling $104m, the agency says.
