Three Chinese steelmakers halt production after safety inspections
China’s State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) has publicly disgraced its Liaoning Anshan local office for failing to discover a series of safety issues at local steel plants. The three steel companies involved have been ordered to stop production until they have successfully rectified the issues, Kallanish notes.
