Saudi's Arkan Steel readies for commissioning
Arkan Steel has completed construction of a 500,000 tonnes/year rebar mill in Saudi Arabia. Trials are expected to start as soon as power is allocated, according to an official at the plant's Indian technology supplier.
The re-roller, located in Al Kharj, south of Riyadh, and owned by Qatar-based Al Watania Group, will roll 10-40mm diameter rebar from 130mm and 150mm square billet, the PP Rolling Mills official tells Kallanish.
