Saudi Arabian west coast rebar re-rollers are seeking billet imports from Oman as domestic offers from Riyadh and Dammam are at SAR 2,130-2,160/tonne ($568-576). Omani producers, which issued their initial quotes at $513-515/t ex-works, are willing to compromise marginally, which could result in workable prices for buyers with import duty exemptions, Kallanish notes.
