Saudi scrap dealers limit supply to boost prices
Saudi Arabian scrap suppliers, amid an abundance of material, are holding back supply in order to push up prices. On the buying side, merchant billet producers, seeing good demand for billet, are being forced to raise their scrap purchase prices, eroding their margins, notes Kallanish.
