Saudi rebar market anticipates price increase, higher demand
Saudi Arabia's lacklustre rebar market anticipates better demand and higher rebar prices in January, Kallanish notes.
In December, the benchmark mill quoted rebar at SAR 2,650/tonne ($706) and offered an additional project discount of SAR 150/t deducted from SAR 2,650/t, for quantities exceeding a certain quota.
Depending on the buyers' classification, the December effective price is pegged at SAR 2,590-2,620/t delivered, excluding rebate.
