Saudi rebar demand improves, margins shrink
The Saudi rebar market observed slightly better demand this week versus the last two weeks. However, traders complain that retail prices do not leave adequate margins, notes Kallanish.
"The demand is not so bad but leaves no profit. Because our current rebar sales are from our last month's stocks which were SAR 150/tonne ($40/t) higher than April prices, the price is lower than this month's announced price," explains a trader.
