Saudi mills seek rebar supply directly to projects
The Saudi Arabian rebar retail market is subdued, with mills preferring to bid directly for large projects to supply rebar, Kallanish observes.
It has been heard that one west coast-based mill has signed a rebar supply deal with a contractor for a project at SAR 2,325/tonne ($620) delivered for a sizeable tonnage – nearly 40,000 tonnes – against 30-day letter of credit.
