Saudi HR flats imports fall, coated flats rise
Saudi Arabian imports of flat products under HS codes 7208-7210 fell -38% on-year in May to 119,848 tonnes, according to new General Authority for Statistics data monitored by Kallanish.
This was because hot rolled flats imports halved to 77,516t.
The most-imported product was HR plate above 10mm thick whose imports totalled 33,173t. Imports from China fell -38% to 21,396t and those from South Korea dropped -36% to 7,447t. Intake from Japan fell to …
