Saudi billet producers await domestic rebar price announcement
Saudi Arabian merchant billet producers and rebar re-rollers are awaiting the benchmark mill's rebar price announcement by Sunday, 30 July, which will direct the semis and scrap market, Kallanish notes.
Scrap prices are firm in the country, unchanged from last week for HMS 80:20 grade at SAR 1,350-1,425/tonne ($360-380) in Jeddah, at SAR 1,400-1,450/t in Riyadh and at SAR 1,425-1,500/t in Dammam, all delivered to buyer's yard.
