Saudi billet prices slide over low-tagged rebar
Saudi Arabia's billet market is depressed this week following a project discount announcement on rebar by the benchmark mill. This mill is also in the market to sell 10,000 tonnes of 130mm 4sp billet at SAR 2,150/tonne ($573) ex-mill. For these reasons, local induction furnace-route billet quotes have slid SAR 70-100/t on-week, Kallanish learns from market sources.
