Saudi billet exports slow in July, rebar surges
Saudi Arabian billet exports slowed in July, totalling only 5,625 tonnes compared to 33,102t in June, according to newly-published General Authority for Statistics data monitored by Kallanish. Jordan took in the entirety of July shipments.
Saudi Arabian billet exports only resumed in January after a ten-year hiatus.
Billet exports in January-July thus reached 192,552t, with Philippines taking in 77,204t.
