Saudi first-half exports surge, imports down bar rebar
Saudi Arabian iron and steel exports increased by 23% on-year to 690,000 tonnes in the first half of 2021, according to Saudi General Authority of Statistics data obtained by Kallanish.
Export income surged 112% in H1 to SAR 2.3 billion ($613 million).
The main products were hot rolled flats. HS code 720838 saw 152,714t of exports and HS code 720826 recorded 145,609t. Wire rod meanwhile saw 106,942t of shipments.
