Saudi Arabia prefers DRI to iron ore imports
Saudi Arabian imports of iron ore, mainly pellet used for direct reduced iron production, plummeted -52% on-year in April to 330,871 tonnes, according to General Authority for Statistics data monitored by Kallanish.
Although Oman-origin sourcing rose 4% to 330,852t, Canada and Sweden each provided zero versus 200,198t and 171,395t respectively in April 2017.
