Saudi, UAE rebar markets becalm as Ramadan approaches
The Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates rebar markets are quiet this week, for different reasons, Kallanish notes.
The UAE's rebar retail market is stable and subdued because contractors have reduced their intake. This is because current rebar prices are AED 700-900/tonne ($190- 245) higher than what they initially budgeted for when agreeing contracts for private projects inked in the third and fourth quarters of 2021.
