South Africa’s Merafe increases ferrochrome production
South Africa’s Merafe Resources Limited (MRL) increased its attributable ferrochrome production from the Glencore Merafe Chrome Venture (JV) in 2021, Kallanish notes.
MRL recorded on-year increases in the fourth quarter and full-year 2021 of 5.1% to 102,000 tonnes and 42.7% to 379,000t respectively, the miner says in its latest production report.
