Sangang Group ignites new blast furnace
Fujian-based Sangang Group in southeastern China has ignited the first 1,950 cubic metre-blast furnace on Thursday 17 August at its headquarters in Sanming City, Kallanish notes.
The whole new plant, housing two identical BFs, is expected to reach 3.318 million tonnes/year of iron capacity, with a net reduction of 333,000 t/y of iron capacity. The No.2 BF is planned to be built between January 2024 and June 2025.
