Sanbao Steel ignites blast furnace
Sanbao Steel, a subsidiary of Fujian Sanbao Group, has ignited its No.1 1,700m³ blast furnace, Kallanish notes. This is part of the company’s low-emissions upgrade project.
The new BF has received capacity quotas from Sanbao Steel’s 620m³ BF and 1,080m³ BF, with a combined capacity of 1.76 million tonnes/year of iron. After commissioning, No.1 BF will reach a capacity of 1.46m t/y of iron.
