Sanbao Steel reverts to EAFs in replacement plan
Fujian Sanbao Steel has resumed its capacity replacement project with a return to electric arc furnaces, Kallanish notes from the Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. This follows the firm’s announcement in 2019 that it would replace EAFs with converters for steelmaking, which was prevented by government requirements.
