Samsung Heavy suspends operations
South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) has been forced to halt operations at its main shipyard in Geoje due to a series of accidents. The stoppage puts out of action a major steel consumer just as the Korean shipbuilding sector turns a corner, Kallanish notes.
