Salzgitter resumes production after lightning-induced force majeure
Salzgitter has returned to production following a force majeure declaration last week, the German firm tells Kallanish.
The steelmaker said on Wednesday in a letter to customers it had declared force majeure due to damage to its power supply caused by lightning on the preceding Saturday.
“Meanwhile we have returned to production, trying to reach the full production level as soon as possible,” a company spokesman said on Friday.
